Western Technosites
So we went to UoP (University of the Pacific) as a class to view the work of Daniel Kasser. The project was titled "Western Technosites". There was a simplicity in his work that I enjoyed. Landscapes with oversized, photoshopped tools extremely oversized that had relevance to the shot they were included in. The images themselves were hung using a simple method of binder clips. I would have liked to have seen something more adventurous like scrap metal shapes with discolorations, an earthy feel, to connect to the images. The huge scale shovel in the back of the gallery was fun. Overall I enjoyed the work and even went as far as to research Kasser further on my own time outside of the assignment.
